Health Promotion
Health promotion is the process of enabling individuals to increase control over their own health and to empowering them with ways to improve their health. Health promotion covers a wide range of social and environmental interventions that reduce premature deaths and healthcare costs, by addressing and preventing the root cause of illnesses and not just focusing on treatment and cures.
Wellness Screenings
Wellness screenings are screening tests to detect potential health disorders or diseases in individuals who do not otherwise have symptoms of disease. Early detection and lifestyle changes are effective in reducing the risk of diseases or in the case of early detection, it may be early enough to begin effective treatment. Screening tests are not diagnostic, but are used to identify a subset of the population who should have additional testing to determine the presence or absence of disease.
